The Punked Hair trends 2016!

Among all the odd things that’s been happening this year, Trump becoming president, legends of the music and film industry dying and the chaos caused by Islamic extremists, this year has also produced some interesting trends and creative ways of expression. We looked back at our favorite hairstyle trends from Punked Neon Hair Dye, which isn’t just stylish, but also quite fascinating to look at.

Pixel Hair This is a style was first created by Jose Luis Almendral, Marco Antonio Restrepo and Jorge Cancer of X-Pression. The dye is applied into layered squares that transform the dimensions to form what looks like pixels of a very old computer.

Candy Floss Hair In pastel shades of flavorful colors, like blue and pink one can get the yummy look of candyfloss and can become desired to any sweet tooth out there. Coincidentally, Punked creates various dyes with a lovely scent that gives the color a sweeter effect. To fully accomplish a candyfloss style, Keep a out-of-bed, messy hair or tease close to the roots to give the hair extra body.

The Viking’s Mohawk Like the traditional punk Mohawk, this style is perfectly punk and spectacular, though slightly modified to add a little extra detail to what is already a very time consuming style to maintain. The modification? A braid along the side to emphasize the hawk between the two shaven sides of the head. Warning: This style is maintained with a lot of hairspray.

Rainbow hair This trend is probably the longest surviving of all the amazing styles we have seen so far. I think it may have originated from a person who couldn’t quite decide what color to go for and just applied them all, but whatever. It looks amazing and in this day and age, we need some color in our lives. Basically the spectral dyes are applied in their order (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet) on individual strands of hair. When you wash it out, you have the magic of the unicorn residing on top of your head. How cool is that?

The Partial dreads Though people have been doing it for years, it seems it became a pretty big deal in 2016 with this year being the year of self expression and the idealism of conservative capitalists have fallen into the hands of creative and alternative people who are far more daring and colorful than the oppressing old school generations. The partial dreads are actually two styles separate from each other. The first is with the head shaven along the sides as you do with a Mohawk, but made into dreads in the middle. The other option is to shave nothing at all, but to create random locks of dreads of various random colors all over to give you that ultimate hippy/ punk look.
